I'm getting a really strange issue on the first layer of my prints; as more and more of the first layer is printed, they get more and more "wobbly" on the Z axis and eventually start fully lifting from the bed. the bed is completely leveled and as far as I can tell, the z-offset is set correctly. This is an issue that I hadn't noticed before since I was only doing smaller prints that didn't have a solid base, but now that I am it's becoming a serious problem. Based on your description, it sounds like you are experiencing bed adhesion issues during the first layer of your prints. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to solve the problem:
-
Clean the build surface: Ensure that the print bed is clean and free of any debris or oils. Use isopropyl alcohol or a similar cleaning agent to wipe the surface to improve adhesion.
-
Adjust the bed leveling: Even though you mentioned that the bed is leveled, it is recommended to double-check and ensure that the nozzle distance to the bed is appropriate. Make sure the nozzle is close enough to provide good adhesion, but not too close that it prevents the filament from extruding smoothly.
-
Adjust the bed temperature: If you are using a heated bed, try increasing the temperature by a few degrees. Warmer temperatures can help with better adhesion, especially for certain filament types like ABS.
-
Use a suitable adhesive: Consider applying a thin layer of adhesive, such as hairspray, gl...
