#Weird gaps appearing in my layers, as well as gaps in the top layer

Ender 3 V2 Neo, PrusaSlicer, PLA. I've printed fine on this for several months and just replaced the hotend internals after wrecking the previous one. Running at 220 degrees - I have tried lower as I usually print slightly lower but this was the best attempt so far (bed 60C, and I've tuned PID).

I've calibrated esteps. I don't think it's underextrusion as I've tried running a cube with a higher extrusion multiplier (1.2) which doesn't fix the problem and causes typical overextrusion symptoms.

I've got 5 top layers in the slicer and fairly default settings as I reset the profile to default to see if the problem was caused by me setting a weird slicer setting.

Based on the information provided, it seems you are experiencing issues with your 3D print quality. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and improve your results:

  1. Check your filament: Ensure that the filament is not tangled or damaged. Examine the spool for any knots or knots that could cause extrusion issues.

  2. Check the nozzle: Make sure the nozzle is properly tightened and clean. Remove any clogs or debris that might be affecting the extrusion.

  3. Calibrate the bed leveling: Ensure that the bed is properly leveled to prevent any uneven printing surface. You can use a piece of paper or a feeler gauge to check the nozzle's distance from the bed.

  4. Check the extruder tension: Ensure that the extruder tension is set correctly, not too loose and not too tight. This will ensure proper filament feeding.

  5. Adjust the retraction settings: If you notice stringing or blobs, try adjusting the retraction settings in your slicer. Experiment with different retraction dis...

  1. filament runs cleanly - I can run it through when calibrating esteps (with bowden tube detached) fine
  2. I've used the stick thing on the nozzle and filament (seems to) run through it fine
  3. bed is leveled, I've got ABL and the first layer is fine
  4. I did set this too and the marks on the filament seem to be inline with good extruder tension
  5. don't think it's relevant as there aren't retractions in (all of) the places where gaps appear
