#asking for klipper help and tips
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I'm happy to help you get the most out of your Ender 3 with Klipper! Some basic information I'd need first is what kind of upgrades you have on your printer, what issues you're experiencing, what filament you're using, and what slicer and Klipper configurations you have set up already.
how new we talking? i would start with the docs and ask if you got questions https://www.klipper3d.org/Config_checks.html
i have it working and all that
it prints and at 180 with like 6000 accel
i just dont know how to make it better and have a much cleaner and more effective setup
done all the basic tuning again?
yeah
and it does the bed and hotend separately
[gcode_macro START_PRINT]
gcode:
{% set BED_TEMP = params.BED_TEMP|default(60)|float %}
{% set EXTRUDER_TEMP = params.EXTRUDER_TEMP|default(215)|float %}
{% set EXTRUDER_STANDBY_TEMP = params.EXTRUDER_TEMP|default(170)|float %}
G28
G90
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
M82
M140 S{BED_TEMP} ;Start heating bed
M104 S{EXTRUDER_STANDBY_TEMP} ;Start heating extruder
M190 S{BED_TEMP} ;Wait for bed to reach temp before proceeding
G28 ; Home all axes
#BED_MESH_CALIBRATION
BED_MESH_PROFILE LOAD=default
M109 S{EXTRUDER_TEMP} ;Wait for extruder to reach temp before proceeding
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X0.1 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move to start position
G1 X0.1 Y200.0 Z0.2 F1500.0 E15 ; Draw the first line
G1 X0.4 Y200.0 Z0.2 F5000.0 ; Move to side a little
G1 X0.4 Y20 Z0.2 F1500.0 E30 ; Draw the second line
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X5 Y20 Z0.2 F5000.0 ; Move over to prevent blob squish
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
that sets the bed to the final and the extruder to 170 at the same time, then waits for the bed
you wan to change the extruder to heat closer to final temps?
whatever is best
take out the first G28 on the 4th line of the macro, dont need to home before heating, otherwise that seems pretty optimal
that supposed to be a pressure advance test?
Yes
try following this, but use one wall https://www.klipper3d.org/Pressure_Advance.html
you get buldging corners on the bottom that will get smaller and smaller untill the corner fails
Make sure any "dynamic acceleration control" is disabled in the slicer.
where is this in prusa slicer
?
0 to all and control acceleration through klipper
you walls at 1 and no infill?
sounds better, but will probably start failing sooner
it wont pull off the bed if you have good adhsesion but watch it
ok ill watch it\

Mb
Here
I had to leave but I'm back
you run the right TUNING_TOWER COMMAND=SET_PRESSURE_ADVANCE PARAMETER=ADVANCE START=0 FACTOR=xxx? seems the same all around
you saved and restarted?
if so M104 S{EXTRUDER_STANDBY_TEMP} ;Start heating extruder can change to M104 S170 ;Start heating extruder to har code it
follow the docs, one corner will be worse if the seam was on it, but measur up and multiply by layerheight to find your pressure advance
Ok ok

So that setting was already checked but ig it was good to do it again
