it keeps doing one row of probing then stops. not sure why its trying to move to 335 or anything like that. im assuming since i have oit set to 5x5 but why doesnt it just divide it by 5 to probe rather than that distance away 5 times?

Your mesh issue is because mesh min and especially max are too big

Because it takes the probe offset into account aswell

So you end up trying to go out of range

Just make the number in mesh max smallee by like 30
