AI Help

The ticking sound that you are hearing during printing could be caused by a variety of factors. One possible cause could be that the extruder is skipping, which can be caused by a clog in the nozzle or a problem with the extruder motor. Another possible cause could be that the print bed is not level, which can cause the nozzle to rub against the build plate.

If you have already installed a BLTouch, this should ensure that your print bed is level. It is possible that there is still some deviation in the height of your bed, which can occur over time due to thermal expansion or mechanical wear. You may need to perform periodic adjustments to the Z offset to correct for this.

Another possible cause of the ticking sound could be that the extruder is retracting too much filament, which can cause the filament to grind against the gears and make a ticking sound. This could be caused by incorrect retraction settings in your slicer software or a problem with the extruder motor.

Sounds like your extruder is skipping and/or a partial clog in the nozzle
