#Marble PLA Printing Problems

I'm printing with some marble pla at 210 degreeson my kp3s, so i'm using the stock titan extruder and hotend. When i print at y regular speed of 120mm/s the filament grinds horribly. When i lower to even a speed of 60mm/s it grinds, i have to lower the print speed to around 25-30mm/s for it to not grind. I am assuming this is to do with the single gear extruder not having enough grip on the filament. WHat do you think it could be?

You are correct that the extruder may not be able to grip the filament adequately at higher speeds. You can try increasing the tension on the filament by adjusting the tension screw on the extruder. You can also try reducing the retraction distance, as too much retraction can cause the filament to grind. Additionally, you may want to try cleaning the extruder gear, as buildup of debris can also cause filament grinding. If these steps do not work, you may want to consider upgrading to a dual-gear extruder, which will provide increased grip and better filament control.

I also noted that the marble pla is quite hard

#

a lot harder than my standard pla

#

i also tried setting the tension on my extruder to the max and that has seemed to keep it from skipping at around 20mm/s

#

i would appreciate any suggestions

I would only like to get a bmg clone (dual geras for extra grip) if i have to
