#Underextrusion or over extrusion problems in my prints maybe?

The sides of my prints have gaps, one side of the print has extra blobs of filament (i thought this was due to caosting but even after turning off there are blobs on one side).

The top layers of my filament have gaps, this feels like underextrusion to me but im not sure.

It sounds like there could be a few issues causing the gaps on the sides of your prints and the extra blobs on one side. First, check to make sure that your printer is calibrated correctly and that the bed is level. Uneven printing surfaces can lead to gaps and uneven prints. Next, check that your filament diameter and flow rate are set correctly- if there is too much or too little filament being extruded, it may cause gaps and uneven prints. Finally, try adjusting the print speed and temperature- printing too quickly or at too high of a temperature could cause the filament to not adhere properly and create gaps in the print.

Regarding the top layers having gaps, it does sound like underextrusion could be the issue. Start by ensuring that the filament is feeding correctly and check that the nozzle is not clogged. Additionally, check that the nozzle size and layer height are optimized for the filament being used. Finally, try increasing the flow rate slightly if the issue persists.

I have a sidewinder X2, using PLA on the print pictured.

Using idealab as my slicer.

have mostly tried sliver fixes, have not done any filament or extrusion calibration
