#Is the general consensus that ABS and ASA only need an enclosure and PC needs a heated chamber?

The decision to invest in a vented enclosure or heated chamber for your 3D printer depends on the specific material and filament you are printing with, the size and complexity of the prints, the desired quality of the finished product, and your personal preference.
A vented enclosure can help to reduce fumes and odors associated with some filaments like ABS and PLA, and can also help to maintain a consistent printing environment. However, it may not be necessary for all materials and filaments.
A heated chamber can help prevent warping and cracking of prints made from certain materials like Nylon and PolyCarbonate. It can also help to maintain a consistent printing temperature, and improve the quality of prints. However, it may not be necessary for all materials and prints.
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide if the investment in a vented enclosure or heated chamber is worth it for your specific printing needs.

All three "need" an heated chamber to help with adhesion but the temperature vary between material. But if you can make it stick without it I don't see an issue not having one.
ABS+ can normally be printed without an enclosure.
If you plan to only print ABS ASA and PC I would recommend having your printed boxed (enclosed) while printing these materials. And preheat the enclosure to a certain temp before starting the print to make sure the print will adhere to the bed correctly.
