#Suddenly having bed adhesion issues

My Ender 3 V2 Neo was working perfectly until recently.

For some reason the when trying to print certain files, the nozzle would drive into the glass bed and damaged it a bit. I may also have damaged the coating while trying to get some of the baked on PLA off.

Since then, my OctoPrint mini PC started messing up, so I got a Creality Sonic Pad.
Installed Klipper, went through the set up, all seemed well.

Then I started to try to print.
For some reason, when trying to print, it will lay down a few layers, but then the model gets stuck to the nozzle, comes off the bed and is dragged around by the print head.

I thought it was maybe due to the damaged build plate, so I tried putting down some tape and glue (worked great on an old printer). And it worked for a few more layers, but then would get stuck to the nozzle again.

I've tried raising the z offset bit by bit until it was essentially printing in mid air. Lowering it doesn't do anything either.
Tried raising and lowering the bed and hotend temps. Nothing.

Only other thing I can think of is replacing the nozzle with a brand new one. I'm thinking that it was damaged more than I thought by the whole ramming into the build plate and that's causing issues.

Any ideas? Or should replacing the nozzle help?

It's possible that the damaged build plate is causing the issues you're experiencing, especially if you can see visible gouges or damage. I would recommend replacing the build plate and making sure it is level before attempting to print again.

As for the model getting stuck to the nozzle, it sounds like you may be experiencing adhesion issues. Using a build surface like glass or a PEI sheet with a thin coat of glue stick or hairspray can help with adhesion. Check that the hotend temperature is appropriate for the filament you're using and that the bed is level. Additionally, you can try lowering the print speed and/or increasing the cooling fan speed to reduce the likelihood of the model getting stuck to the nozzle.

Replacing the nozzle with a new one is also a good idea, as any damage to the nozzle can affect the quality of your prints. Good luck with troubleshooting!

Did you try with running an older g-code which worked correctly to see if the problem still happens now?

is your glass bed super clean?

#

Clean it with dish soap and water, avoid touching the surface with greasy fingers afterwards

#

this + the correct z-offset are the most important things for this kind of problem

#

How does your first layer look? Are you sure that your offset is correct?

I slowed the print way down (to 30%) and put the offset down to something like -0.2. Combined with some tape and adhesive, it seems to be alright. It's still printing, but it was sticking down. I'll see how it is when it's done.
