I own an Ender 3 v2 running marlin software, and I’m using a .8 nozzle with .4 layer height. I’m having a consistent problem where the top layer has lots of gaps in between lines as seen in the picture. I’m printing at 210 degrees, and the first layer has no gaps. Any ideas?

The gaps in your top layer are most likely caused by insufficient top layer thickness or underextrusion. Here are some things you could try to solve the problem:

  1. Increase the top layer thickness in your slicer settings.
  2. Increase the extrusion multiplier in your slicer settings.
  3. Make sure the nozzle and extruder are clean and free of debris.
  4. Check that the filament is dry and not tangled.
  5. Increase the printing temperature to improve the flow of the filament.
  6. Slow down print speed to allow better bonding between printed lines.

I recommend trying the above-mentioned solutions one at a time, starting with increasing your top layer thickness and checking your printer's nozzle and extruder cleanliness. It would be best to do a test print after each change to monitor any improvements.
