So I’ve tried playing with settings and heard retractions shouldn’t be taking nearly this long, but I can’t seem to fix it. Here’s my settings and the model I am printing
#retractions taking 23%+ of my print time

I'm sorry, but I cannot see your settings or the model you are printing. Can you please provide more information or share photos or screenshots? Additionally, it would be helpful to know the type of printer you are using and what material you are printing with.

I use an Anycubic Cobra Plus and I use PLA
The model is very small, only about 7” long so 14-15 hour seems long
what does the sliced preview look like?
with your speeds, about 5 retractions take one second (assuming infinite acceleration, which you dont have of course)
how many layers does your print have?
so thats 20-50 retractions per layer, average
sounds reasonable
you could maybe try inserting something in the "max comb distance without retraction" to reduce some retractions on small moves
and tuning your retraction settings to only retract as much as you really need can be helpful too
What would you recommend I try?
How would I go about tuning it? I’m very new to 3D printing
Thank you!
the other chapters are not bad too, worth a read and then pick whatever calibration you think is useful for your printer
i got it set to combing mode "not in skin" and max comb distance with no retract set to 30mm. But I have a direct drive printhead and settings might not translate well to your printer
