#CR Touch leveling misses the bed

Hello all, so I’ve recently installed the 4.2.7 board, CR Touch, and a new fan mount. I’m compiling my own firmware and I’ve had quite a few issues. My current one is that when I level the bed, the CR touch misses the bed. I have the recommend probe offsets entered in my firmware from Petsfang website. The auto home also misses the direct center of the bed.

Things I’ve tried:

Changing the bed size to 220 x 220
This causes the firmware to not compile due to the tramming points not being reachable

I tried messing with the home offsets with the M206 command

I’ve messed with the probing margin which seems to not compile at all if I have anything but 0

I’ve messed with the tramming point coordinates, but this doesn’t really affect the bed leveling

I had the printer sort of working but every time a print finished, the bed would get pushed out too far on the Y axis and the motors would skip and mess it up. This caused me to start messing with stuff.

I’m sure it’s a simple fix, but I’m lost and feel like I’ve tried everything.

It sounds like a couple of things could be going on here.

First, make sure that your CR Touch is properly calibrated and that the probe tip is clean.

Next, you may need to adjust the Z offset between the nozzle and the probe. This can affect the accuracy of the bed leveling.

It also sounds like you may need to adjust your bed size and bed leveling coordinates in the firmware. Try using a different bed size and different coordinates for your leveling points.

Finally, it's possible that there is a hardware issue causing the bed to move too far on the Y axis after a print finishes. Check your printer's mechanical components and make sure everything is properly tightened and aligned.

If none of these suggestions work, consider reaching out to the manufacturer or community forums for further assistance. Good luck!

It’s an Ender 3 Pro. I’ve already tried entering a 220x220 bed and this won’t compile and I don’t know what to change for the probing margin and tramming coordinates to get it to compile

As far as the Y axis, I’ve already checked the hardware. The belt is tight, I’ve tried moving the Y end stop back and that reduced the grinding but didn’t fix it and that also messed with the homing of the bed.

Yeah the default value is 10 but that won’t compile with my current settings. I think I adjusted the tramming coordinates because it was tramming way off of where the bed screws are. Fixing that caused other problems and now here we are lol
