#Several Issues After Tuning Printer and Printing Benchy

So from what I can tell the most noticeable things are:

Uneven Layer Stacking (Looking To Fix By Putting Printer on Better Surface)

Gaps Between Lines on Corners

Very Blobby Rear Text (Even for a 0.2mm Layer Height imo)

Also don't mind the elephants foot and Stringing I've already bumped my z offset and adjusted retraction and am reprinting another benchy now

It sounds like you are on the right track with adjusting your z-offset and retraction settings to try and fix the elephants foot and stringing.

To address the issues with the uneven layer stacking and gaps between lines on corners, a more stable surface could definitely help. You can also try adjusting your print speed and temperature settings to see if that helps. If you're still having issues, it may be worth double-checking your slicer settings and making sure that your printer is properly calibrated.

As for the blobby rear text, this could be a result of over-extrusion. Try tweaking your extrusion multiplier or flow rate settings in your slicer to see if that helps. It could also be worth checking your nozzle for any clogs or blockages that could be affecting the extrusion.

Wow that's actually really helpful for a bot

I'm hoping the z offset adjustment will also help with the blobbiness of the rear text but I think it's more than just that (possibly Due to Uneven Layer Stacking as well). So far the only solutions I've been able to think of with the corners underextruding is tuning Linear Advance but I've never touched it before. I also Print at 60mms with 30mms walls so I don't think I'm printing too fast for the layers to be Stacking Uneven

Then I recommend you check whether you can print a successful XYZ calibration cube, as that contains flat surfaces and defined text (and thus good benchmarks of corners too) 🙂 it's small and easy on filament use

Will do

Please do also share what printer you're using, the filament, the slicer, and the settings in the slicer that deviate from normal.

And whether these issues are new or happened or came up only after changing something; or perhaps whether you're new to printing and this is something you've had from the (recent) start

I'm using

Sidewinder X2

Hatchbox PLA

Cura

And haven't changed anything really besides Retraction settings (1.0mm, 45mm/s) and jerk settings I've tuned down to help with ringing until I can get a more stable surface for the printer. The ringing has always been a problem since I got it a year ago and the Stringing and corner gaps only just started after changing my Retraction and jerk settings the other day

It doesnt consistently seem to underextrude on all corners of every layer. It just looks to be at random but only on Corners it'll underextrude
