I recently purchased a new bed for my printer. Keep in mind I'm a total beginner (the printer was passed down to me from a friend and I've been doing my best to familiarize myself with it. I bought a metal extruder, Capricorn wire, and set all that up.

Problem: The bed just won't level. I've went around 3-4-5 times with paper leveling it every time. Manually. It also has a BLTouch on it which I'm not too sure how it helps me level however it's there. Once I manually level all four sides it still either scrapes or goes too high to another side. I've tried manually leveling + the bltouch level + adjusting the z-offset. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, could the bed be warped even though it's brand new?

It is possible that the bed is warped, even though it is brand new. You can check by placing a straight edge, such as a metal ruler, across the bed in multiple directions to see if it is even. If it is warped, you might need to replace the bed or try some adjustments to help it level.

Here are a few things you could try:

  1. Try adjusting the bed leveling screws more carefully and slowly. Make sure to start from the center and work your way outwards.

  2. Using a BLTouch will help automate the bed leveling process. In order for it to work properly, the BLTouch must be properly calibrated, which usually involves adjusting some of the settings in your printer's firmware.

  3. If leveling the bed still doesn't produce good results, you could try installing a glass bed on top of your existing bed. Glass beds are generally flatter and smoother than metal beds, and can help improve the print quality.

Remember to take your time and be patient when leveling your bed, and try each adjustm...

What firmware are you running? Does the bl touch probe the bed when you print?
