How can i best increase my tolerances on my ender 3 printer? im currently trying to print a small model with 0.3mm gaps that NEED to be open because it is a print-in-place model. It's stupidly tight tolerances but this is a necklace that has been eluding me for months and I really would like to get it printed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

To increase tolerances on your Ender 3 printer, you can try the following steps:
-
Adjust your slicer settings. You can try increasing the horizontal expansion or horizontal compensation values in your slicer software.
-
Calibrate your extruder. Make sure the amount of filament being extruded matches the amount specified in the slicer settings.
-
Tighten the belts and screws on the printer to reduce any play or looseness in the system.
-
Adjust your print bed level to ensure the nozzle is the correct distance from the print bed.
-
Use a thinner nozzle size such as 0.2mm or 0.25mm to achieve finer details.
Also, check the limitation of your printer as to the minimum size it can print, and consider redesigning your model with larger tolerances if needed.
I hope this helps, and let me know if you need further assistance.

im using IdeaMaker for my slicer, the only mods that I have would not affect my print directly. currently using CFPLA (it has worked on these types of things before) and a 0.2 nozzle.
Reducing extrusion multiplier and perimeter speeds might help
Idk if ideamaker has this setting but some slicers let you reduce the size of layers to improve tolerances
Yeah that
well, i just set it to 0.2 so that should hopefully do the trick. it may be too extreme so I'm going to check the slicing preview
running the print, going to pause after first layer and inspect
make sure you don't mix up -0.2 and 0.2. positive values should increase size, negative ones decrease size, afaik?
I heard that printing outer perimeters first helps but never tried it
it does :)
