#How can i fix stringing??
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Stringing occurs when the filament oozes out of the nozzle during printing. There are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
-
Increase your retraction distance: Increase the retraction distance by 1mm increments up to 6mm or 7mm. This will help to prevent oozing and stringing.
-
Adjust the retraction speed: You may also want to try increasing the retraction speed to stop the extruder from dragging the filament out of the nozzle.
-
Temperature control: Sometimes, a change in temperature can help to reduce stringing. Try to adjust the temperature by 5°C up or down from the current temperature to see if it resolves the issue.
-
Check your filament quality: Poor-quality filament can sometimes cause stringing issues. Switch to a better-quality filament if you suspect that the current filament is the issue.
-
Enable z-hop: You can also try enabling "z-hop" in your print settings. This will lift the nozzle slightly during travel moves, which can help to reduce stringing.

ok i will try
this is from http://retractioncalibration.com/
some guy told me to print this
idk if it tells anything
oh i think that i should set retraction dist to 8 and retraction speed doesnt matter here
should i set retraction dist to 8 and speed to 140 mm/s ??
can it have any problems?
90 mm/s was better, i will need to try with different settingz
