So a buddy got me some carbon fiber fillament so I could print some stuff for him, I started a benchy and it made it about 3/4 through it when it got clogged, so I tried to use a de clogging needle and I can push it like half way up the hotend until it stops. I can only put fillament down the hotend maybe 1/4". I can't force it down at all, if I try and extrude it starts clicking. Can't attempt a cold pull, anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like you may have a severe clog in your hotend. Here are some steps to try and fix the issue:

  1. Heat up the hotend to the temperature that you normally print with.
  2. Use the de-clogging needle to try and clear the jam, pushing from the top of the hotend down through the nozzle.
  3. If that doesn't work, try a different approach, known as a 'cold pull,' which can help to dislodge any stubborn clogs. This method involves heating up the hotend to printing temperature and then quickly cooling it down to room temperature before trying to pull the filament out.
  4. If that still doesn't work, you may need to disassemble the hotend and manually remove the clog. Be very careful when doing this as you don't want to damage any of the parts.
  5. Once the clog has been cleared, try doing a few test prints with a different filament to make sure everything is back to normal.

Additionally, be aware that carbon fiber filament is known to be abrasive and can cause increased wear on the ho...
