I've printed with this TPU before and have had great results - am simply printing feet for a chair
what happens is the walls of the print don't form properly at all.
Its a BIQU 1 printer and am using VOXELAB TPU
Ive had the filament off the printer for about a month before putting it back on and now this is happening

AI Help

There are a few possible reasons why this could be happening:

  1. Moisture Content: TPUs can absorb moisture from the air which can cause issues with printing. Try storing your filament in an airtight container with desiccant to keep it dry.

  2. Bed Adhesion: If the first layer of your print isn't sticking to the bed properly, it can cause issues with later layers. Make sure the bed is leveled and properly cleaned and try adjusting the bed temperature or adding adhesive like hairspray, glue or special tape.

  3. Print Speed: TPU can be more demanding than other printing materials. Experiment with slower print speeds to help the material melt better and bond more tightly.

  4. Temperature Issues: Depending on the make and quality of TPU, temperature sensitivity can range. Try adjusting the temperature of the nozzle and the bed. Be careful, TPU can be particularly sensitive to temperature changes, so start with small increments.

Hope that helps!

you may need to dry the filament and check for clogs

Best way to dry filament?

#

No clogs for sure - have switched out to PLA+ and then back to TPU, all good on that

#

base layer comes out mint as well (unless i misunderstood what you said)

#

HEY @sweet cedar - appreciate the input - i just made the print speed 30/mms

#

30 mm / s

@crystal lion that speed is fine. Do you print with retracts?
