It looks like there may be an issue with your printer's extrusion or filament feed system. A few things you can check include:
- Make sure your filament is not tangled or knotted - this can cause uneven extrusion and blockages.
- Check your extruder gear to make sure it is clean and free of any debris.
- Check your hotend to make sure it is free of any clogs or obstructions.
- Try adjusting the temperature and speed settings in your print software to see if that helps.
- Make sure your printer nozzle is not too close to the bed, which can cause extrusion issues.
If you've already tried these steps and are still having trouble, let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
I forgot to mention the slicer is prusa 2.6
Have you made any recent changes to your printer? Such as Gcode, firmware or changing to a new slicer?
And have you tried to format your SD cards
I didn't touch the printer it self, but recently moved to prusa 2.6(for the tree supports)
I've done multiple prints already with it tho that turned out great
haven't done that yet, do you know if this might also be a hardware issue? like, it detects something is malfunctioning so it stops or something like that
Try formatting your SD card and re-slicing the model
It doesn't look like any hardware issue I've seen. It looks like a software issue
What firmware are you using?
will do, and report back in 10~ minutes
how do I find out what firmware?
Goto about printer in your settings
I'm guessing you haven't changed the firmware before then?
nope, and it's 1.0.4
send your sliced gcode, looks like a filament change script or something
If that's what it was it was not put there by me
anyway formatting, and reslicing prusa SEEMS to have fixed the issue, at least so far
so thanks @dusky relic ! oh BTW if you already asked about it, should I update the firmware? If I need to I'm sure there are videos that tell you how to do that. it's just that 1.0.4 feels really old to me haha
Im a believer of "If it aint broke dont fix it"
I'd only upgrade it if you're looking to add features/compatibility myself, but if you do decide to update your firmware, it's not super hard, Just make sure you're not going to lose power part way through and do not install Creality firmware
If you decide to update your firmware, There are lots of videos on youtube to help you through it!
you do have a filament gcode in there, something added a M600
The M600 command initiates the filament change procedure. The basic procedure will move the print head away from the print, eject the filament, wait for new filament to be inserted and the user to confirm, load and prime the filament, and continue with the print. M600 may be initiated automatically if a filament runout sensor is installed.
On a phone and didnt see that, Good eye
kinda a givaway with how much retraction was in the video
Got it, are there any firmware recommendations or something like that?
I have no idea what put it there, but thanks!
I'll know what to look after If I ever experience this again
thanks again!
https://marlin.crc.id.au I use this firmware.
for firmware if that is a 3v2 you can use insanity automation or jyers if you want a prebuilt, marlin is something you configure for yourself
thanks, but can I ask you one more thing that's confusing me?
in the latest version there, v4.2.2 Board- Stock they seem to have added a M600 command, the one I just learned about
how come it was just added there and my 1.0.4 firmware recognizes that command?
Is it just that Marlin is built from the ground up, or something like that?
I'll look into that as well, thanks
marlin is like 10 to 1000 things to configure, depends on how much functionality you want, like the M600 needs a ADVANCED_PAUSE_FEATURE flag, https://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M600.html

I'm not really sure what it means but ok haha
I don't think I'll delve that deep into the printer just yet
