Hey Everyone, do you struggle with bed leveling or have a warped bed with no ABL, I've got your free and low effort solution! I used the z end-stop as the ABL sensor (it still stays as the z end-stop but I gave it some extra functionality and moved it slightly). It require very minimal firmware changes and I have the firmware and STL files for mounting the sensor all for free (I have the firmware for most printers and can very quickly design a mounting bracket for you printer if I haven't already). If you would like free ABL on your printer react with a thumbs up and DM me. (This upgrade require no purchases of any parts everything is free). Comment what you think and how I could improve this). (Other people may have had this idea as well but this was my own and haven't copied anyone work). DM me if you want me to send you the STL's and firmware upgrade for your printer! BTW I just added auto servo motor deployment for the sensor but not everyone has one so it wouldn't be free, I can still do both.

great implementation! does it by any chance hit your print?
Excellent work 💯
nice, teaching tech did something similar for the ender3 a while back
Well yes and no, at the start of my g code I add an M117 (LCD Message) to say retract probe, and then i do a g4 (delay) P60000 (1 minute). So i undo one of the screws holding it to the tool head and spin the end-stop 90 degrees and then tighten the remaining screw so it doesn't flow around. It's not ideal and I'm currently working on an automatic retraction with a servo motor.
ahh cool, any issues with the z offset being too inconsistent?
nope it works quite well!
Do you have ABL on your printers?
I think it was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs6IVfNrf5k
The Creality CR-6 SE's auto bed levelling system impressed me greatly. Ever since testing that printer I've been scheming about creating a similar version for the Ender 3. In this video I've managed just that, with free, printable parts and the standard electronics reused. This is compatible with Ender 3, Ender 5 and the original CR-10 (not S Pr...
yup i do
you could take inspiration from klicky et.al. and make a magnet mount. I also believe you can prompt the user to do something and then have them hit ok or click the encoder wheel in Marlin to continue
btw, hows ur fraxinus?
broke a belt yesterday but it was a quick fix, enclosed and printing abs
