i don't see anything out of the ordinary so looks fine
(But please note hard to say from video)

I recommend to plug the keyboard while out of the case / foam (incase the foam is damp)

and use the analog monitor tool to see if any sensor issues and to run the RGB effect 'Cycle" to see if any LED don't show up

if you see any issue best to unplug and inform me what sensors or LED had issues and i can provide points to check

will also include a high res picture so you can cross check

I doubt anyone can tell. Usually to see that kind of damage you need a magnified image (from an electronic "microscope"). And even then probing with an oscilloscope and thermal imaging might be needed to tell.

###But there are things you could do:###

  • Free the board (still screwed down, which can trap water).

  • But be aware of static electricity! Ground yourself use an ESD safe bag as place to put the board.
Though in a pinch rough cardboard (without a print on it) will do.

  • Rinse with plenty DESTILLED (demineralized) water, to get rid of salts deposited by the drinking water you spilled.

  • Please ask Wooting staff if you can use ISO safetly with your device and if you can proceed below!

  • Next step only in a well ventilated area and if Wooting staff agreed that ISO is safe (or on your own risk).

  • Afterwards rinse with isopropanol to displace the water which can, due to the nature of water, cause corrosion. (Board only, plastic parts only need to be rinsed with distilled water) Even without electricity. Though ISO attacks glues and inks, so the stickers might be cooked. And the rubber domes look glued on, so they might fall off.

  • Then carefully dry it for at least 12h better 24h.

  • Reassemble and try on a computer.

  • IPA isopropyl alcohol, of water/alcohol is fine to use

i Don't recommend rubbing alcohol as these tends to include iodine
we don't tend to recommend dunking the entire board but more of a focus clean for anything that stands out

Regarding visible damage (sometimes this is visible), most tickets are created when the cleaning steps were not followed or when the keyboard was left powered on for a while before being unplugged and disassembled. In those cases, corrosion is usually visible.

In this case, the keyboard was unplugged soon after and the liquid was water, which is an ideal scenario. The chance of seeing anything out of the ordinary is low. If any symptoms do occur, it is important to document the exact issues so we can trace them back to the affected component for inspection and cleaning.
