Hey ⁨@proven umbra⁩! Great question, though the best answer often depends on your region and local availability. Regarding keycaps, the good news is that you don't need to worry about specialized compatibility. The vast majority of commercially available keycap sets will fit perfectly on most Hall Effect switches. Personally, I find the official Wooting ABS and PBT sets to be quite affordable with great quality, but if those aren't your style, browsing marketplaces like Amazon or AliExpress is your best bet for finding unique designs on a budget.

Finding an affordable aftermarket case that supports the friction fit pad is a bit more tricky. Compatibility depends entirely on the internal dimensions and how "clean" the interior walls of the case are. As long as the manufacturer provides accurate internal dimensions that match officially supported cases, like the 60HE v2 aluminum case, it should work. If the fit is slightly off, you can almost always fall back to a traditional screw-mount setup since the 60HE v2 PCB still uses standard tray-mount points. One thing to keep in mind if you go with a metal aftermarket case is electrical grounding. Wooting recently released a video explaining why it is important and how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFVUqHdHFVI

If you can share your budget (and maybe region), we might be able to help you find something concrete.

Older Wooting cases and third party 60% cases (such as the Tofu60 Redux) are not electrically grounded when friction fitting your Wooting 60HE(+) or 60HE v2. Here's how to fix that!
