I have an 80HE and now the led for my mode-change switch is a different color than the rest of my LEDs? My software is up to date and I dont remember doing anything that would cause this to happen. What should I do about this?
#One of my LEDs is now a different color than the rest, is there a fix?

Honestly it doesnt show up well in the photos but what once used to be a near-perfect white is now a jarring purplish-pink irl on that one switch
Nothing you can do about it. One of the LEDs are failing. Reach out to support.
Is this surely a case of bad led? Could it have something to do with it's calibration? I have my 2HE for less than a month, but I can notice that different shade on some switches too. I have them all set to white-ish and they all have that light blue tone to it, but on some keys it's actually more of a white or that pink white. It's very noticable from the side if you look under the keycaps
well considering i havent done anything to it, it used to be the same color has all my other switches, and in the software its the same color as the rest of my switches, i think its definitely an led issue
So I guess we're in a same boat here. It's weird, because I only notice this on a couple buttons if I set them all to white. If I use any other color I don't notice any difference, that's why I thought it might have something to do with the calibration only. If this are dying/defected leds it's really a shame. I mean I have the keyboard since December, come on. Honestly I would expect a little more consistency with a 200€keyboard. Did you reach out to support? What are you going to do?
reached out to support, since my board is under warranty theyre sending me a replacement pcb, and if all is good after testing then i send the defective one back to them. as for consistency, theyre just leds. its really luck of the draw, even the "highest quality" leds risk failure no matter what
they did tell me to record the board using the "cycle" effect though to see if its an actual led dmg issue or js a calibration issue
So we're both getting a new pcb.
mine was dmg
guess so lol
I was hoping for calibration but no
i mean yours might be, if you run through their diagnostic steps and it comes out as faulty then it is what it is
it's weird if I set it to any color but white, I can't really see the difference.
since they use multiple leds per switch its likely js one of them thats slowly dying
ive also noticed that its much less noticeable on other colors
The picture I posted above was also sent to support and they said it looks like a defective led. I also have some other keys pink like that
unfortunate man
yeah I hope
would hate to switch the pcb just to find out it's the same. How fast did your led start doing that?
For a month of use, I have quite a lot actually
ive had mine for a bit over a year now, if the new pcb has an issue then theyll js send another one
oh yeesh that super unfortunate, i dont think ive seen anyone have that many dying leds so quickly before
we'll see how it works out
yep
