did i choose the delivery method for the right reason?

There were 2 options when I was checking out for delivery.. DPD and Deutsche Post - Economy Posta -
Deutsche Post - Economy Posta was slightly more expensive so i assumed that would be because they aim to get it delivered faster. Was just wondering if that is the case or if I've just made a huge mistake using a courier service outside the country i live in (uk)
