We charge in Euros, which your bank may choose to pay in EUR, or convert using their currency conversion rates from Zloty

When I change address to U.S. it shows that I have to pay in dollars, when I change address to Germany I have to pay in Euro and when I change address to Poland I can pay with polish zloty. So that's why I asked changing payment currency.

Not quite. It shows your local currency as a visual aid. But we charge in euros globally, except in the US where it is USD.

I actually paid with a German issued card and had to pay 2 conversions, Wooting conversion from EUR to CZK (horrible rate) and then CZK to EUR back from my bank.

Yes, sorry. It's been a while since I handled anything payment related. You are correct - We charge local currencies, based on the currenty EUR value* SwitchyPray

Hi there, unfortunately, this is not something that can be changed.
Depending on the customer's country, the storefront will use prices based in either USD or EUR. At the time of purchase, this is presented to the customer in their local currency, and Shopify charges a conversion fee to exchange it to Dollars or Euros when using Shopify Payments.
This conversion fee is a major revenue driver for Shopify Payments, and at Wooting's current scale it is not possible to negotiate better rates. Furthermore, if a merchant chooses to use a different payment processor other than Shopify Payments, Shopify will add an additional fee to cover their lost revenue from currency conversion.

Shouldn't you be more transparent about it in the EU?

Since you are charging 2-4% "just because you live in Poland/Czechia" (or any other non-euro EU country), that % surcharge should be in the checkout page. I also think you should accept payment in Euros regardless of where in the EU you are since that is a currency you accept:

The price shown on the website is inclusive of all payment processing costs and we are in full compliance of all EU regulations regarding payment capture services

I am not saying it should be in the checkout page, but if requested I think it should be possible to pay in a SEPA transfer or card payment in Euros.

I think you're both misunderstanding the applicable law as well as misunderstanding how Shopify handles payment processing.

For the latter, Shopify storefronts have a base currency in which the products are priced. When conjoined with Shopify Payments as a payment processor, this base currency is also the only currency in which payouts can be made to the store owner. In the case of our EU store, checkout-eu.wooting.io, that's Euros.

As for the legal requirements, the regulations surrounding so called "geo-blocking" are related to antidiscrimination. Since the entire Eurozone operates on the same store with the same rules and setup, there is no discrimination occurring and therefore is in compliance.

The point I'm attempting to make here is that this is not something that can be easily changed, and even if it could be changed by using an alternative payment processor than Shopify Payments, it wouldn't actually make any difference to the customer because Shopify would charge an additional fee for not using Shopify Payments anyway...
