White 80HE wrist rest stains

The coating may be coming off this early. I ran it through water and the dark spots are not coming off. I tried using gentle dish soap and the soft side of a sponge; it's not coming off so high chance it isn't a stain. I don't want to use any other material because I may damage it. It is noticeable at the right-hand side of the wrist rest.

Also, when you touch it, it is noticeably rough; the surface is not the same on the left side of the wrist rest. Any advice?

EDIT: I just noticed there is also shine when in an angle. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A MONTH YET.
