Do you have the standoffs installed? Any additional foam to the one piece that comes with the alumaze?
Did you remove the screw and rubber ring from the accent piece on the left?
Yes I did all that
Take a photo of the case with the PCB out.
All looks in order. Are you not just seeing the PCB being pushed up a bit by the foam and standoffs? Does it go into place if you start by screwing in the screw closest to the USB hole?
Hmm yeah maybe it will be solved if I screw it the screws?
If i push a bit on the board it seems to come in position
Mhmm. Just a bit of foam pushback then 🙂
@drifting wharf Where is the tool that I can test input and stuff? To see if my magnetic desk interfer?
Nothing happens when I click connect device
it should look like this once the keyboard connects and you press a key
what broswer do you have?
Firefox
I tried in Chrome and it worked @tepid tapir Thanks!
It doesn't seem top register any keys from my magnetic desk which is good 🙂
That'd do it. Firefox doesn't connect to USB
Are there any settings or such that I shouldn't miss out on?
For the best results, I recommend:
- Unplugging the keyboard.
- Holding it in the air.
- Plugging it back in.
- Waiting 5 seconds before placing it on the surface.
It could be that the keyboard received interference during the calibration process on startup, so the interferences shown in the analog monitor could be minimal compared to what they actually are.
Alternatively, the interference might barely be affecting the keyboard. I would also recommend being careful of strong magnets on the desk in case they magnetize the desk.
I did that now and same result 🙂 Good! No weird registers of keys!
you misunderstood, there's no problem
There's a bit of tolerance on the screw holes. You could in theory loosen all of the screws, align the port and screw them back in fully.
