The keyboard sends key codes to the computer, not individual characters, so you'd have to replace the "1" key with the key the pipe character is on. For me that would be "<".

It sounds more like you want a macro assigned to CTRL+ALT+1. Wootility doesn't do normal macros, potentially DKS could work in your case sending the different keys depending on how hard you press it. Otherwise you'd have to use different software to add that macro

Ok, the issue is that I have the system keyboard in portuguese

#

and in the ISO PT-PT, the | had a dedicated key that doesn't exist in the 60HE

#

so, basically, I don't have a way of doing the pipe when the keyboard is set to Portuguese (PT-PT)

#

btw thanks for the help

#

any ideas?

Oh I see, hmm not sure if you can do that without replacing a key. I think you'll have to wait and see if anyone else has any ideas

but how do I replace a key even if I want?

Shift+\ makes | with that layout

#

If you just want access to the key you could use a Function layer and add that key and Shift

humm

#

yeap it works, I had to lose another character to remap it but I guess there is no other options

#

this is the bad part of 60% 😦

#

by default I had the \ auto assigned

#

on the ESC but as FN

#

FN+ESC = \

#

but that way I wasn't able to do the |

#

nevermind, FN+SHIFT+ESC works now, it wasn't working before... Weird

#

problem solved, many thanks!
