Wrong Layout on JIS 80HE

I just got my 80HE with a JIS layout, I used the normal JIS layout and not the one with ANSI keys. macOS did not seem to recognize my keyboard properly and then when I went into Wootility some keys were shown wrong and one of them was completely empty. I could also not remap every key to exactly what it was on the Wooting Japanese keycaps.

I tried using the Karabiner Elements software, and that managed to remap some of the keys but all of the JIS-specific conversion keys were still not functional. I heard that Wootility looks at the system layout so I connected it directly to my Windows VM to see if the mapping would be different with Microsoft IME, but that also didn't seem to work - should I have reset something?

Does anyone have experience with this, am I missing something?
