No matter what color I set the keyboard shines so brightly that it stands out in the eye

#

And the lights on the right are only minimal

strong cove
#

you lowered the brightness and its still very shiny?

#

I have the brightness set to 100% for every keyboard

strong cove
#

then lower it

#

if its too bright

#

why would you return it

#

I'm not buying a keyboard for well over 300 that I have to turn the brightness down because otherwise it's too bright and the other keys are dark, I beg you, that's not right

i had the same issue as you. it can happen due to your keycap or a keycap mod, which in my case was a spacebar tape mod.

what i did to fix it is lower the brightness of the 5 LEDs under the spacebar by 70%. I found that number by testing myself, took about 5 mins at most :)

#

ill show an example here real quick

#

if u need help adjusting ur LEDs i can also help with that

unkempt palm
#

But why should I set them to 70 when all the others are 100% so that you can't see any difference? Are these maybe your key caps that I got that are not all 100% ok?

Your keys are set to green besides spacebar which is white. I believe this is what's causing the "issue"

could 100% be a perspective thing. the other keys look fine, not too dark imo, so probably just need to lower the brightness of space

#

No matter from which angle I look at it is obvious that the space bar has much more leds than the other keys and is therefore much too bright and the key caps simply do not let beautiful colors through or brightness that is fact and that with a 300 Euro keyboard is already fierce

If you were to remove all keycaps, how does the brightness look?

Most keyboards have different brightness levels and at 100% brightness it should be a bit too bright (people like it brighter in the day light). If you're saying its inconsistent across the keyboard that's fair, but to complain about a keyboards LEDs at 100% and refuse to turn it down is a braindead opinion.

bro has the spacebar set to white and doesn't know why it looks different

It's important to know that you can't or don't want to help a customer, but rather expose a customer. I'm not stupid and know that the keyboard is a different color, but it's still conspicuous

@unkempt palm read above, thats your fix. if you are unsatisfied with the result then please stop replying and make sure to not complain when solutions are presented to you

An RGB LED is usually made from 3 or 4 colors, which can display all colors by mixing those 3-4. That is why it is called RGB, for Red, Green, Blue. The forth one CAN be white for brighter colors.
The reason the spacebar is brighter is in order to show white light all 3 colored LEDs are at max. While with green light only 1 of the 3 LEDs (the green one) might shine. 3 LEDs at the same brightness are brighter then just one.

So in order so have the same brightness with different colors, you have to calibrate it yourself.

I know why there is such a difference in brightness for me - I installed the max switches the wrong way round
