You have connected your Wooting keyboard to the PC, but somehow Wootility doesn't seem to recognize it? Signs of Issue The first thing you should check, is if W
One user had similar issue #1300344803246084136 message
they fixed it by uninstalling drivers in device manager 🤷♂️
seems like nothing is getting it to show life atm,
not sure how I would uninstall the drivers via device manager as I cannot find the device under keyboard or as "wooting restore"
Maybe its a dead entry?
Sometimes even after following this guide Issue - Wootility doesn't detect the Wooting the Wootility still can not detect the keyboard, this can be because of d
Here’s the PCB if it helps
appreciate the help, doing the above still does not change anything
guess the best course of action now would be to email
v5.wootility
might of missed a step one second
I also just updated to the latest firmware today
To start, it's best to determine and check the state of the keyboard, as it may be in Restore mode or driver related.
To find out in Windows you can check Device manager.
How to open Device Manager
- Right click on the Start button in the taskbar
- Select "Device Manager"
- Select "View"
- Select "View by container"
- Look for the device
Can you check how your device is listed? It may have one of the following names:
- Wooting (Two He / 60HE / UwU)
- Wooting Restore
- Not listed
Also, just to check, is your keyboard stock or has it been modified in any way (case swap, tape mod, etc)?
The Front end of wootility dosn't detect the keyboard while in "wooting Restore" so the keyboard might be in this state the test above is to check
If it is detected as wooting restore you can go to
wootility > Settings > Troubleshoot > select keyboard/layout > Reset device
V5 wootility > Help > troubleshoot > Device/Layout > reset device
I removed all wooting-related entries in the device manager via the article about deleting any old registry entries
the 60he+ does not show under device or other devices and I do not see a "wooting restore" after plugging it back in
only mod I have done is swap the switches a couple weeks ago to geon raw he
If you unplug the keyboard and follow the steps below
- Hold Down the Top Right and bottom right keys [backspace] + [FN}
- plug the keyboard back in
- let go of the keys after 3 secs
Check device mananger for "Wooting Restore"
just followed the steps, I do not see wooting restore or wooting 60he in devices or device manager
the cable also works just fine on the backup drunkdeer I have
and also plugged it into a laptop to see if it was OS version related somehow but nothing changed
