I integrated my Wooting module into the new KBDfans Tofu Redux MOON case, and I have to say, I'm a huge fan of this case. It feels rock solid, far more durable than the anodized versions I've tried before. The only downside is a few minor inconsistencies on the bottom and front, but other than that, it's an outstanding build. Thanks @coarse flicker for his post and mentioning the different finishes. Without him I wouldnt have known the MOON finish :) ❤️

feels insanely sturdy in comparison to the anodized version. cant emphasize that enough. feels i can throw it to the ground without getting scratches XD

I have the akko transparent blacks but the yellow lettering looks kinda bad

Hey! Looks amazing I've been looking at this for awhile and can't find much info online. I was wondering - is the texture of the moon surface bumpy or smooth?

Both. Yeah there is nearly no information on this finish whatsoever. I wanted to find out more about it because I was thinking of getting this finish for my Neo Ergo as well 🔥. The thing with this finish is, that there seems to be some kind of glossy extra coating on top of the case. So even though it’s bumpy it’s also smooth.

If you zoom in in the last picture it can be guessed a bit

Yes, if it doesn’t go into extremes. The front and all the sides that I usually look at are fine so it is ok for me. I just know that my old self’s ocd would not have been ok with it 🤣

Pretty sure I got one of the first batches and they already figured it out how to make it more consistent.

nice! did you order on the kbdfans page directly? it took me like 1,5 Weeks to get the package and I ordered it on the aliexpress kbdfans page. It was send to germany :)

Aliexpress, yeah, way cheaper than kbdfans. was able to get the case, brass bar and another switch plate for about the same price as the case+shipping alone on kbdfans. Says around Sept 10th.. patience is money I suppose.

Nice!!! Yeah don’t know why the shipping is so much cheaper on aliexpress with Kbdfans even though it’s the „official“ store there. Mine arrived earlier then the expected shipping date by around a week :).

@silk scarab Finally came in today.

I got some of the same fading issues as you (mostly on the bottom), but it is VERY light and almost not noticeable. I absolutely love the pitted texture. Exactly what I wanted. :D

Also, yeah, the keycaps aren't super original. 😅 Still looking for some I really like. Happy with these for now, though. It doesn't clash too much.
