The keyboard is most likely acting as a ground as the steel switch plate or if you are using a metal case is connected to ground which would cause any static build-up you have to be discharged to the keyboard when contact is made.

Also, for reference, the keyboard receives and operates at 5 volts. It doesn't have any step-up components to raise the voltages to the level where you could feel it.

#

i noticed it while playing dota but it goes off and on

#

im not sure how frequent it is but it stays like that until i unplug it

#

but itll just come back after a bitsometimes, sometimes it doesnt

#

i can only feel it when i lay my finger on the sides of the capsliock and tab with my finger on my base

#

like that

In that case, it doesn't sound like static discharge from [You >keyboard > PC > Ground] if it happens constantly like this.

It sounds like the computer is not properly grounded and what you are feeling is that.

Keep in mind that the keyboard only uses 5V. (no where near enough for the keyboard to be the source of the static)

but this is a recent issue, and i have switched to other keyboards and i havent had this problem ever

#

only with my wooting which i love very much

#

i have had my wootign and same pc for over a year

That may be because the top plate is grounded
This is to ground any static discharge that may happen back into the computer.

Other keyboards may have a plastic cover which is not conductive, so that could explain the differences.

You can test this by using the keyboard on another computer to make sure.

The "Two HE" top plate is made out of steel and has a grounding wire attached Below

I would recommend plugging the USB cable into a different port, one further away from the current position, as I think it is not discharging the voltages correctly to the outlet ground.

dusky rune
#

ok i will testing now

dusky rune
#

ok its still having the same issue

In that case, it looks like the computer is not being grounded properly as it is affecting multiple ports. I would recommend checking how your computer is connected to the outlet and if it has a ground pin connected.
