So, based on the keys you've reported, such as "symbols, zooms pages, changes profiles," and the accompanying video, it appears that the issue is isolated to the right side of the keyboard.

So, I believe that this is related to the "U5" Multiplexer or Mux for short. There have been a few cases over the past few weeks that have experienced this problem.

If you are up for troubleshooting and a possible fix that involves a bit of tape, I'll include a guide below. Otherwise, it's best to contact Wooting customer service, stating that you have a problem with your keyboard and it is most likely related to the U5 Multiplexer. I'll also recommend including this Discord link.

  1. To start, you will need to remove the PCBA from the case. It's best to watch the VideoGuide.

  2. Once the PCBA is removed from the case, flip the keyboard over so that the PCBA is visible, and then remove the screws marked in this picture You do not need to screw it back in, and it's best to store it away.

  3. Once removed, best to wipe the area around the screw with a paper towel or any cloth just to remove any moisture and get it as dry as possible.

  4. Inspect the area around the screw for any damage or indent on the PCB, (Also, if possible, can you take a picture of the area as in focused as possible)
note you may not be able to see any damage/indents as they can be very small, as a microscope was used to find the damage.

  5. Prepare some electrical tape if possible; otherwise, any tape will do. Cut off a strip large enough to cover the area around the screw.
This is to prevent the exposed copper from touching any other conductive material that can cause a short and protect it from any moisture and corrosion.

  6. Plug it back in and test if the keyboard works if you run into any problems give me a ping in this post.

The 60HE Module is compatible with any universal 60% case that followed the GH60 standards. This is how to safely swap out the 60HE into another case.

It doesn't HAVE to be electrical tape, Untamed - But definitely preferable if available. 🙂
