Not too sure how to go about this so I apologize in advance if my formatting or w/e is incorrect.

Recently THE FINALS has started looking into cracking down on controller emulation software to stop XIMmers and other things from running rampant and it seems that Wooting was caught in the crossfire. I cannot finish a game of THE FINALS without getting booted with the message in the screenshots sent while using Rapid Trigger specifically. The game doesn't seem to mind if I'm not using Rapid Trigger keys, though the game just feels so much better when I do ahah.

Are there any settings I can change to stop it from flagging me as using something like this or is the solution all on their end?

just disable the gamepad in the wootility settings

also assume they arent cracking down on controller emulation but controller stuff in general when used as mixed inputs

cursive crown just disable the gamepad in the wootility settings

I was able to get back to my setup and assure that the Gamepad Mode setting was set to No Gamepad and I am still getting kicked out of games. If there's another setting I should be looking at, please let me know.

we dont have any other gamepad related stuff besides that setting and the fortnide double movement app

given it says tool not hardware id assume it detected some software it doesnt like in general

I've tested every other setting and checked my system to make sure nothing else was setting it off. It only goes off and kicks me when I have it active.

id assume this isnt related to rapid trigger but just too actuations happening too quickly

our keyboard doesnt have any software running for any function nor does anything change in how it presents to the PC

#

the only way to know for sure if RT is enabled is using wootility or manually reading the wooting config from the keyboard

#

plus RT is used on multiple keyboards and becoming more and more of a standard

i guess they just slam every too fast input into macro... when rapid trigger isnt a macro and solely relies on you being fast enough.

but yes looks like boiler plate as they assume you can just uninstall rapid trigger so no one actually thought this through or looked at what current high end gaming keyboards can do

I can test this when I get home tomorrow but I have never had issues using rapid trigger in the past on the finals

On top of no gamepad check enabling /disabling NKRO

#

@cursive crown I have confirmed across 3 games now that it will not kick you by having rapid trigger on. I believe the user above may have been trying to set the game to use controller and use the analog function of the kb resulting in the kick. Just FYI for future posts

well all we needed to hear was its not rapid trigger. so most likely it is indeed some software that was tried to be used in some way the finals doesnt want.
