The keyboards are manufactured in batches and shipped via freight to the EU/NA warehouses. Currently, not every type of keyboard is in stock, and the estimate will reflect the estimated time when it will arrive at the warehouse.

Why was the expected shipping time not mentioned when the product was purchased?
Companies have developed and shipping takes place within just hours. If I had known that this was the company’s shipping policy and the stinginess of relying on slow sea shipping, I would not have ordered from them.
The product is excellent and rated as one of the best in the world, if not actually the best. Why does the company not choose a shipping method that satisfies the customer?!

The company must change its shipping policy. Sea shipping is for large products. The keyboard does not cost a lot in air shipping, or at least give the customer the option to choose the payment method, even if that costs a greater amount of money.

From my limited understanding

It is to keep prices down as much as possible for the customer

as it can be 10-15$ per unit or more to ship by air freight which can add up when dealing in batches over a thousands units

Afaik, Wooting is the first time that I've ever directly bought keyboards from the company itself and I'm already having a blast so far. Is it the same for all the other companies?

Our keyboards are shipped via air freight from Asia to the Netherlands and shipped via sea freight from Asia to the US.

Sea freight to the US takes about 4-6 weeks, whereas air freight takes 3-4 weeks and is much, much more expensive.

Sea freight to the EU takes 8-12 weeks, whereas air freight takes 2-3 weeks and is far more reliable. It costs more, but we shoulder that cost.

We were already air freighting keyboards, which caused some chaos when war in the Caucasus flared up: #📦│batch_updates message

But with all the shenanigans in the Red Sea, it definitely makes air freight all the more important for EU.

The flight itself is just one part of the logistics process, including truck transport, intermediary warehouses, customs, etc
