So the base coding on it should have the light press = arrow keys but if not I'd recommend this one
16935f878f2a3f6ef42e54a0eddaae06c7cf
And just mod it to what you want on the keyboard
so the problem is more so my fn key isnt appearing at all in the "test your bindings" section.
it seeems like the key is just not working
So it’s not registering any inputs? Or is it just not properly assigned a key?
I should note that the FN key will only modify the keyboard layers to FN-1, so it doesn't have the ability to send a scan code to the computer to indicate that it is being pressed, unlike other keys such as [A, 2, etc.].
Just to test out the switch itself in case it is faulty, I would recommend:
- Going to an active profile
- Select "Remap" tab
- Changing the [FN] bind to any other key like [A]
- Pressing "Save to Keyboard"
- Checking if it is detected when pressed.
i did exactly that and when pressing fn it still doesnt appear as A
its not registering any input. as above i said i tried remapping it and it still doesnt register as a diff key either.
Oh, sorry, I got your last message when I was sleeping and forgot to get back to you when I woke up.
Could you attempt a keyboard restore this will reflash the keyboard firmware with a new firmware set to test if this is firmware related
*Please note that this will wipe all profiles from the keyboard, so it's best to make a duplicate of the ones you wish to keep.
*
To perform a restore, you can follow these steps:
- Unplug the keyboard.
- Hold down the two keys for your model (Refer to the image).
- Plug the keyboard back in.
- Let go of the keys after 3-4 seconds.
- Go to Wootility.
- Settings.
- Troubleshooting.
- Select your Device.
- Select your layout.
- Restore.
If you run into any complicated issues or your Wooting keyboard is not responding, one of the first things you can give a shot is restoring your keyboard in the Wootility.

You can also attempt to recalibrate the keyboard by:
- Unplugging the keyboard
- Plug it back in
- Wait 5 seconds before pressing any keys
As the keyboard may have a bad calibration since it has been a few days and most likely has power cycled, I just thought I'd mention it just in case.
yea still nothing. its not showing up as anything i did both methods u told me
One more thing I can think to try. If that doesn't help, I'll write up a summary.
Could you attempt to switch out the switch with one of the two spares that come with the keyboard and make sure to plug it back in the device once done?
ive already done so. yesterday i switched it out
