To best showcase the current state of the switch, can you enable an RGB effect "Touch" This will demonstrate the current position of a switch when pressed and see if the keyboard is detecting the switch as it may be the computer.
To enable the Touch Effect, you will need to launch "Wootility" and follow the instructions below.
- Select the "Color" Tab
- Under "Effect Layers"
- Select "+ Add RGB Fx Layer"
- Select "Touch"
Image for reference.
And slowly press the switch and observe the top row of the keyboard. The LEDs should correspond with the amount the switch is pressed.
Can I add it to only 1 key
The effect will apply to every key. It's best to try the key in question and the surrounding keys as a baseline.
Just to clarify, the effect on the keyboard correctly indicates the key is being pressed,
but the key is not being detected by the computer?
Sometimes
Idk why
I do what I normally do but my k key just stops when im tapping too fast
It sounds like this could be a problem with the computer or software on the computer, but just to double-check the keyboard,
you can change the FX effect to "RT Display." This will showcase when the keyboard activates and releases by the color "Green/Red." Record yourself typing or pressing the key a few times to showcase when it doesn't activate.
Then at this point, I believe this may be software-related. You can try to disable one software application at a time and see if you can find the cause. Alternatively, you can attempt running the computer in safe mode, which disables all non-Windows-related software.
Otherwise, if you go through each software one by one, I would recommend testing the software that relates to overlays:
- Nvidia
- Steam
- Origin
- etc.
