I was cleaning it and it got wet, cause I didn't clean it in a while. But I really hope I just didn't ruin the keyboard cause I even tried to dry it off I wonder if There's anything I can do since it's my favorite keyboard on earth
I remember waiting literal years for it
Typing in here waiting for it to finally come home
So is there anything I can do to fix it
have you gone through the reset process? https://help.wooting.io/en/article/troubleshoot-restorereset-the-wooting-keyboard-60gd75/
Your Wooting keyboard stopped working and it's a paperweight. Don't worry, you didn't break it and it's very easy to restore. Just follow these steps:
No not yet imma try that soon
tried it now he keys just barely work ;-; like i cant een hold a ky
or us shift
typng on he kyboard ow
its lik 1 wps pr seond
feel free to a me
Sounds like potential spill damage to the circuits.
Aside from taking the board completely apart and doing an inspection and clean, I don't think there's anything to do but replace the PCBA
also try a replug after a reset just to be sure its 0ed in
How can I open it up to save the keyboard
It my baby
Do I just rip open the top plate?
After the keycap removal?
Did you unscrew the top plate?
You go out and buy one? Philips head PH1
Also just in case if worst case scenario what would I need to buy to fix my keyboard
Since it's damage by water and such
The most likely culprit would be the PCBA having trace damage due to an uncleaned spill.
A replacement PCBA would be 95€ including shipping. But you'd be keeping the Lekker edition top plate and keycaps, so it wouldn't look any different.
And the new PCB would be coated to help prevent most spills causing damage, since they're coated almost everywhere to protect the components (if you unplug immediately and clean/dry it out properly)
Where would I get that also 😦 do you know a good way to clean a keyboard entirely
