I've put in the registry, rebooted, but no luck.

#

I'm translating, so my English might be weird.

  1. Are you using the website version of Wootility or the downloadable app?

  2. Did you click the green GIVE PERMISSIONS button on the page?

  3. Do you have any RGB controlling software running? Anything that controls LEDs for other devices like Case fans and such? Close them.

#

1 I can use the app but not the web version (I use BRAVE).
I tried chrome, but it didn't work.

2 No application that uses RGB
Pressed the green button but can't find the device

#

Are the screenshots using the app? Or web?

quiet night
#

web

brave torrent
#

Chrome should work, but you need to give permission.
Brave won't work unless you enabled WebHID in its settings.

quiet night
#

I also allowed chrome, but it didn't work.

#

Press the button and it says HID device not found.

brave torrent
#

This is what should appear when you FIND DEVICES.

#

Can you type on the keyboard normally?

quiet night
#

yes

brave torrent
#

Then my best guess is that you have some software interfering with the USB connection.

#

What apps do you have running in the background? Any gaming software like Razer Synapse, Corsair iCue and such?

Try shutting OBS and the Logitech Hub down and see if that helps.

quiet night
#

It was no good.

#

Device not found

lapis elm
#

in brave you need to enabloe the hidapi first

#

brave will never find a keyboard if you dont enable that

quiet night
#

Not even in chrome.

lapis elm
quiet night
#

Tried that too, no luck.

lapis elm
#

ah ok

#

do you have another usb c cable to try?

quiet night
#

I tried that. It didn't work.

quiet night
#

😭

lapis elm
#

do you have a second PC/laptop?

quiet night
#

1 only

lapis elm
#

hmm

#

maybe @somber sonnet or @solemn thunder have an idea on how to resolve this

quiet night
#

Should I dm?

lapis elm
#

What was tried:

  • Chrome and Brave
  • Installed Wootility
  • Registry fix (just in case)
  • no other USB-C cable
  • no other PC/laptop available
  • No other RGB software
lapis elm
quiet night
#

ok

#

It's this bug that's preventing the web settings from taking effect, right?

lapis elm
#

yes. it cant change settings because it cant correctly connect to the keyboard

somber sonnet
#

If the desktop version is working but it's not in the browser it's a permission thing.

#

The desktop app is basically a Chrome browser.
Like mentioned for Brave it's likely a security setting while on Chrome it should work on the default settings.
So the question is, if you have temperd with the security settings?

quiet night
#

Does that mean I can't use the web while using the app?

#

I wanted to complete it on the web without software, but it wasn't available, so I added the app.

somber sonnet
#

Have you tempered with the security settings in Chrome?

quiet night
#

yes

#

Cannot proceed because the HID device cannot be found.

somber sonnet
quiet night
#

I didn't tamper with anything.

#

All I tried myself was changing the registry according to the wooting site.

#

I haven't tampered with the chrome settings.

somber sonnet
#

I asked you and you replied with yes.

#

Please do a reboot / restart, not just a shutdown and start.

#

Then check it again.
If it still not working open this page with Chrome: chrome://usb-internals/

#

And post a screenshot of it here.

quiet night
#

keyboard is not connected.

somber sonnet
quiet night
#

ok

somber sonnet
#

If you want to show that it can't be found you need to provide the result when the "Find device" is clicked.

quiet night
#

no device

somber sonnet
#

And not from the restore process but instead of the normal main view.

#

Because I doubt that the Wooting is in the restore mode right now.

quiet night
#

where?

somber sonnet
#

At the bottom left.

quiet night
#

oh..

somber sonnet
#

So I guess the problem was all along that you tried to connect the Wooting normally but in the menu for the restoring process.

quiet night
#

sorry

#

It really helped me.

#

Sorry for the hassle.

somber sonnet
#

While I don't know if there is a translation issue or not, in the text of the restoring it should quote that you need to put the device in the restore more for this.

quiet night
#

thank you

somber sonnet
#

When doing a restoring the site will only look for a Wooting in the restore mode.
While on the normal site / view for the normal function the site will only search for a Wooting in the normal mode.
The restore mode is independent and contrastive from the normal mode, and it's separated for a reason.

quiet night
#

I see

somber sonnet
#

Is the "Find devices" text on the button translated for you? It should...

quiet night
#

yes
