Hi, as you can see from name of thread I have a problem with pushed in usb - c connection port.
I have 60HE since summer (first batch that was sent via airfreight) 2022 so only around 6 - 7 months. Since it's arrival it had problem with connection being sometimes ify and wobbly (sometimes with movement of a keyboard it disconnected and reconnected in a few seconds - lights off and on) as it was quite junky since beginning but I didn't mind as it didn't occured to me as anything too serious at moment being and I realy like this keyboard but yesterday as I tried to plug usb cable(I've never used any notable strenght to push it in), keyboard's usb port slot got pushed (caved) inside keyboard main body so I cannot reach it anymore to plug it in. Is this problem for return service?
Thanks for reply.

Uh... that doesn't sound good. Please send us an email at social@wooting.io
If possible follow the steps in this video to get the case and PCBA module separated, and take some photos of the connector and PCB.
The 60HE Module is compatible with any universal 60% case that followed the GH60 standards. This is how to safely swap it out for a 3rd party case.

There are an additional number of screws on the underside of the PCBA that need to be unscrewed to split apart the module into layers.
won't I void my warranty with disassembling it?
no
the only thing that voids warranty is damaging the PCB
intentionally or by modifying it
thanks, will try it than
👍
i dont know if usb port is just glued into that hole so it is just pushed in so maybe it could be easily put back into slot and reglued or if it is supposed to be hard point which isnt supposed to come loose anytime at all
It's soldered on to the PCB. No glue or anything.
cause that usb port inside seems to me that is has movement on cable inside
as it has easy movement when i was trying to take it out again without any success as it is too narrow for anything i have on me to grab it and take it out
well anyway so right now my next step is to look inside
uff based on this and video above i guess that usb solder probably gave up on me
you can easily check by unscrewing the pcb asseembly
it basically removes only the case
okay i think you can email those pictures to social@wooting.io referencing this discord thread
and then mansen or some other helpful support person will sort you out
that looks like it was never soldered on properly
no worries just do as mentioned here
I guess this is how it should be
Well it seems like I will be stuck with my old keyboard for a while... It has a problem with double or triple registration of keys 😢
as mentioned email us well sort it out. we do keep emergency stock and replacement parts for these scenarios
as mentioned to my untrained eyes it looks like it wasnt soldered properly to begin with
But thank you all for helping me with this case
Well I am gonna assemble it back and than contact wooting
👍
sent an email via provided adress here and used my profile to contact on wooting website so there is my order number in it.
Thank you all again for helping me so quickly and with so well descriptions what to do
hi there, so after a month I got replacement for pcb plate and now I have my keyboard working again after swapping old for a new one(very easy process in the end, just not to be afraid of it). Thanks Wooting for customer friendly approach in this matter, as i read some older or newer topics there are some unfortunate of us who had same problem.
now there is a question of sending old pcb back to wooting for inspection i guess? If so I would assume I need to send it back on same address as it came from?
Please send us a followup email and we'll provide you with further instructions 🙂
Like a return label.
thank you, will definitely do it
