Alright - Let's see. Package going to Israel.

As I mentioned in another channel, DeutchePost are known to be slow, real slow. We list them as 14-40 days of estimated delivery for a reason, because they often end up using that long.

Why does it take so long? That is an excellent question, which I can't answer with any certainty - but a lot of couriers only physically ship packages every few weeks to locations with few packages going there (Kind of a "when the bag is full, ship it out and open a new bag" deal)

Most likely the package is either hanging out in Germany at their sorting center, or it's in Israel waiting to be checked in and inspected - Israel are very thorough with packages due to their ahem political threat. There were a mail bomb back in December iirc? which definitely hasn't relaxed the checks.

Anyway since it was picked up by Dpost on the 27th, they still have a week and a bit before we can start investigating and potentially consider the package lost (Packages are very rarely actually lost, and usually show up a bit later)

Let's see... you sent an email on the 8th, where I replied and basically explained the same thing as above. You sent another on the 14th, which got booted back to the back when you sent a followup before I could get to answer it.

If the package still hasn't moved by the end of January, we can set up an investigation with Dpost, and once they agree it's probably lost, we can ship out a new package.

However this time we would recommend upgrading it to UPS? shipping (Forgot what the other options are for Israel), to speed up the replacement delivery (because otherwise it would be another 14-40 day estimate) and hopefully more consistent.

Not quite - Air Freight is an optional upgrade where we split up the production batch (restock) at the factory in China. Instead of shipping the whole production restock by container ship, we take a portion of it out and ship it by cargo plane instead.

This typically means the boards arrive at our warehouse 2-4 weeks earlier than otherwise, so we can ship them out earlier. The next page has the Standard/Expedited shipping options which is what DeutchePost/UPS/DHL/GLS/PostNL do.

If the keyboard inside is intact, then it did its job. It's designed to take any shipping damage instead of the keyboard inside. We just made it (in my opinion) a very pretty black look instead of boring cardboard 🙂

The trouble with that is that we'd still be shipping it - So it is prone to the exact same kind of damage.
