I live in Australia. The tracking on my order (both through Deutsche Post and Australia Post) says it has been waiting to depart Germany since December 1st. Is this normal? Or has something happened?

It departed on the 1st officially. It'll be a few weeks to Australia most likely.

Nope. That is how they look when exported - Next update will be at Aussie customs.
Just different ways to phrase the same thing. It has officially left, though it may sit on a pallet waiting to be actually flown (Airplane fast) from A to B.

Not a question of want as much as can. DEPost have been warning of up to 40 days of delay due to the combination of Covid and war in Ukraine. When all planes suddenly have to fly around a huge region of the world, airports get overloaded hard.

I didn't really have the option of sea freight though, Aus customs would have denied it. We've been having issues with port workers going on strike.

Same issue as you guys, in the EU-REUS batch. Awaiting international departure in Frankfurt since 01DEC22. Wooting Hub was estimating 24DEC22 at the latest, but given DEPost's issues, it may not even arrive then.

They're still distinctly separate companies. DHL as a courier tend to be very snappy, DeutchePost seems to be the cheap clone with all the shipping delays 😄

yeah, not too sure of differences between the two (Deutsche Post vs DHL) , i've been using the DHL Parcel tracker because the interface is nicer. information is the same between the two though.

As transport capacity to Australia is very limited at this time, special measures are required to maintain letter and parcel service. For this reason, transit times of 40 days or more cannot be ruled out for Standard (Economy) shipping (i.e., without Premium service).

yeah it was an option for me, just interface design, you select air freight (factory to warehouse) as a product added to your cart, then you select shipping (warehouse to delivery address) as part of the checkout process. i think its an easy thing to miss.

I deliver products to Aus post at work. With how busy they are atm I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another week before it arrives

Either tuesday or wednesday for me. It is currently a couple towns over, in the regional exchange. Will be in my town tomorrow, ready for sorting. Then the weekend and public holidays hit, so probably delivered tuesday. It won't let me redirect to my parcel locker sadly 😦
