when i plug in my keyboard a million tabs open up, ranging from microsoft teams to random chrome tabs. As soon as i unplug it, all the tab opening stops. How do i fix this?

Give this a try.
In this case I would specifically recommend you use the Wooting USB cable straight into the PC, turn LED to 0%, then swap to the custom one and increase by 5% at a time till you see issues, then go down a bit again. Sweet spot is usually 50% ish
