Hey, guys. Looking for some help with modding my first keyboard. I've always used shitty chinese keyboards. Initially wanted to make a Ferrari red themed keyboard, but no red case in the shop. Any recommendations? With what I have selected at the shop right now price comes up to 240 Euro, I'd say my budget is probably 300 Euro. Just looking for help because I'm completely clueless, for reference my current keyboard is a Marvo K656 I've been debating for a few months now whether to get a custom Wooting the 60 or the 80, or just get a brand name prebuilt, but I keep getting pulled here. I'm new to this space, so no clue where to look for keycaps or anything like this, some directions would be amazing

Thank you, that GT-60 case is great, just weird that it wont let you remove the wooden strip. It's basically double the price of the Alumaze60, surprisingly. Some of the other cases there are nice, I think the Tofu and GT are best, not sure how I feel about the cobweb cases 😄

outside of potential tactile usage the mx + magnet in one doesn't seem like any advantage

Plastic plate and softer sounding switch like Keytok Nova can help achieve that sound profile. There are no compatible PC plates for 60HE v2, especially ISO

Plate is a crapshoot as it depends on the rest of the setup. ime, some muted-sounding switches benefit from a harder plate material to make their sound cleaner yet still deep. All you can realistically do is buy a bunch of them and use your ears.

An ISO plate will accommodate ISO nordic. The only difference is the printing on some of the keys. But the size and positioning of the keys are the same as any other ISO layout.

Softer materials filter out more treble. So if you want a softer, duller sounding keyboard use a softer plate.

Again it depends on the rest of your setup. You might find POM to be too dull-sounding and subtract frequencies from the board that actually sound pleasant. You just have to experiment. That's part of the hobby.

Folks I have a weird problem I've not encountered before.

I want to use Knight V4 stabs because they're clear and will match the clear novelties I plan to soon use.

The problem is that when they're installed in my 80HE, the spacebar, enter key, shift and backspace keys all rock back and forth on the switch like a see-saw. The stabiliser isn't stabilising the key. It's rocking so bad that the stabiliser stems are pulling themselves out of the keycaps. How do I fix this?

I think I need long pole stabiliser stems. But where do I get those for Knight V4's?
