Hello - a bit of a silly question but i am after some keycaps with translucent legends so that the RGB can shine through them. I would like the translucent legends as I tend to game late night with the light off so its difficult to see the keys unless the light is able to shine through them. This will be for my Wooting 80HE.
Also - i had a look at the switches link at #🪛│modding_faq and was looking into the silent switches. But none of the options mentioned seem to be a popular pick for RGB? Does this mean that the switches will block out the RGB on my keyboard or shine through less? I was interested in getting either a set of silent switches or maybe some deep creamy like switches that doesnt break the bank. But as mentioned in my first question, I do want the RGB to be able to shine through the keycaps well.

If you want shine through keycaps, stick with the stock doubleshot PBT keycaps.
As for switches, if you want RGB friendly silent switches, there's the XVX Whisper HE. Keep in mind silent switches affect the accuracy of the keyboard due to dampening on top and bottom of the switch, so it's not recommended to use the most sensitive settings with them.

btw for those curious before, some discussion internally about the swagkey neon latency testers: they basically don't work very well just fyi
for wooting in particular you don't set deadzone so it's impossible to set the same setting vs another keyboard, and the bigger issue is that electromagnets do not replicate normal switch press which is how you calibrate a keyboard/switch
so even though though their advertised use is to 'finally measure real keypress and not fake latency tests', electromagnets still don't simulate proper switch presses, so the problem is still there

Their lube QC is very hit or miss and has variance on a switch by switch basis. It starts off fine, but over time once the lube wears down, it becomes sharper and you can’t open them to lube

i know because the tofu was flush with the wrist rest but the gt60 is ever so slightly lower than the part that touches the front (not that youd ever really notice)

for magnetic switch it doesn't matter, you can swap switches north or south facing (although people do normally install them north facing because it lines up with the diffuser in single diffuser switches)

Soundwise they're rather close surprising enough
