One thing that may actually make the zinc case better is that you can adjust the typing angle using feet. The GT-80 is stuck at 7 degrees and can't be adjusted.

The table vibration is still somewhat present on the new, but it's much lessened. The clack is cleaner while retain the sound profile. And the sound is less peaky thus making it more pleasant ot hear (if it's closer to the IRL, then it's better).

PC plate- Low frequency and reverb can be "dead" sounding
PP and POM- Also low frequency but both have their own unique "poppiness"
FR4- Neutral can be dull depending on the board
Alu- Moderate and resonance, can be really bright as a tradeoff depending on the board
CF- Bright, depending on the board can also be similar to FR4
Copper- FR4 like but more metallic
Steel- Pingy and high pitched
