the misunderstanding is that more foam = thockier, but the truth is it's more about the type of foams and where you put them. Density of the foam etc matters more nowadays because a lot of boards already come with all the foams you used to see added in modding videos from 3+ years ago

if you're watching old youtube videos on modding keyboards to get thocky sound, they add foam because keyboards used to not come with a lot of these foams, but now every basic keyboard has all of those foams already - so if you want to change sound further you only really change the foam and not add more

that said there's honestly heavy diminishing returns trying to 'foam max' and most of your sound is based around the switch you pick in HE boards

I got the orange soft raiden (might have some differences from coffee), but the speed out of the box is a little bit slower than mid (id say raiden mid is a 98 for speed and soft is like a 94-95), but the feel of it is more different since it kinda feels like a miniature temperpedic pillow versus straight silk corduroy

but the TLDR is it has a slightly more squishy feel, but if you feel raiden mid is too fast, the soft is a great option

@tawdry tree As you mightve heard here and there, and our "secret cult" (me and cam's dm lmfao) and past convo with pochizo, we were talking about how the duhuks made this weird top out sound, pochizo described it as funky and CAM saying it made a weird thud sound. It doesn't happen to all of it but some of it. For me it was like 50/50 spread throughout the whole board. Honestly when I had the ali springs, they were chattery as shit on the top out, or maybe so i thought. After talking about the Duhuk's stem leg thingy, it should most likely be the cause of the weird sound.

Also a thing I noticed with the Duhuks (think I said this here before) is that both legs/springs on the stem point to the same direction but with all other switches I know using the same system, the legs/springs point to opposite direction. I don’t think it matters much because the Duhuks are tight, but it’s something I noticed.
