Cus when I think abt the friction issue with the fraken Raptors, I know it basically because of the lekker stem being inside the Raptors. But I always assumed that the only changes were the size of the stem and top housing, could I be wrong all this time? Was it only the bottom housing and stem?

initially I started by trying to make a fully black switch, at the time I didnt think about tolerances and things like that

once I tried combining black jades with black knights, I found they were quite nice and tight, however a lot of the switches were not so lucky and were too tight

when raws came out and I got them, I tried using the raw stem in my frankenswitch and it turned out to be way better on tightness, but still reduced wobble and good sound profile that I preferred

I'd say jade pros are already very close to what I have rn, but mine is a bit snappier on top out, which makes it sounding even nicer imo

Ah ok, we identified this problem like a year or two ago about tape mod with steel plate. The resonance in the steel plate in the board is pretty high compared to others, making it hard for the sound when typing to filter through the tape mod as it's suppose to.
You will notice a major difference and affect of the tape mod once you switch to a softer plate, smth like PC, PP, POM, FR4 or what not.

Do your research! Theres other plate options that people have that you could listen to and learn. which is why it was kinda ignored until the wooting came around

which was somewhat limited in case selection

but since the venom has DB support you can throw that in a lot more nicer cases
