i touched it a really tiny bit but i dont think the solution would be the switch, since you can adjust the acutation for a new switch as well, the distance you need to actuate the key is the same (of course not in terms of the persentage, but lower travel distance on the switch just gives you lower actuation point, you are free to increase that)

well I think thin sheets don't take away from the switch sound the way plate foam or case foam does, so yeah try it and see if you like it

It occurs when u put the switch in the middle part of the backspace but in fr4 the switch is tight but on alu it is not so this might only be an issue for full backspace on the alu plate

Actual gummy mount boards like bakeneko, unikorn, or what not requires a pcb with half circle cut outs around the edge to match the posts on the case. The cutout exposes the gummy o'ring for it sit on the posts of the case

For a gummy mount board, there are pcb cut outs along the edge of the pcb, matching the positions of the posts of the case (Posts are the half circle arches inside around the edge of the case that you see). Traditionally, gummy mount cases don't have standoffs at all, only posts. When you use a gummy o'ring with the pcb with the cut outs and case, the o'ring sits on the posts instead of making contact with the pcb. As you type, your apply pressure on the board and the o'ring as well making it squish, wihle also provide a softer typing experience, which is called "bounce". Depending on the o'ring hardness you get, it will vary on how soft or hard the typing feeling is. @high sphinx

unfortunately no, you would need clip in stabilizers, the screw in stabilizer housings are too big making the o'ring protrude out making it not fit and sit flush into the case
